It’s said that ports are a strong barometer for economic activity, and if the recent experience of Warrenpoint Harbour Authority is anything to go by, the region is well on its way to recovery.
With imports and exports increasing and further plans to expand announced, it’s an exciting time for this strategically important port, now the second biggest general cargo port in Northern Ireland and fifth largest on the island of Ireland.
We worked with Warrenpoint Harbour Authority over many years on a number of key projects. These have included the promotion of a number of strategically important investment projects and their hosting of the British Ports Association (BPA) Annual Conference, which our events team also developed and delivered in partnership with the Authority and the BPA. It was such a success that we were asked to deliver the next BPA conference in the beautiful Stornoway port on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Needless to say our team took the helm once again and delivered a smooth sailing for BPA.
