A new chapter as Morrows Book Club launches
Storytelling is our bread and butter at Morrow Communications, using our creativity to bring ideas to life for our clients with engaging campaigns and beautiful visuals. But sometimes it’s also good to take a step back from the fast-paced working day to take some time and enjoy getting enthralled by a good story ourselves.
With that in mind we have launched the Morrows Book Club! The latest initiative of our wider Belong employee wellbeing programme, book club is an opportunity for our team members to connect with each other and bond over a shared love of reading.
The benefits of reading extend far beyond the joy of losing yourself in a good story. Reading regularly has been shown to reduce stress and improve focus and concentration. For our team, these benefits translate into a more harmonious and creative work environment. By discussing books together, we not only enrich our minds but also strengthen our communication skills.
We’re really excited to ‘check out’ the first selection from our resident librarian Liv, “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. This enchanting novel, set in a small Tokyo café where customers have the chance to travel back in time, explores themes of love, regret, and the fleeting nature of moments. As we journey through its pages, we are inviting everyone to reflect on our own lives and the connections we cherish.
Sharing the love of books is a truly enriching experience. Our book club meetings will be filled with lively discussions, diverse viewpoints, and the joy of discovering new ideas together. Whether someone is a lifelong reader or just picking up the habit, we welcome everyone to join the conversation!
